Emirates Airline, the fast-expanding international airline, has announced an upgrade to the airline’s highly successful online check-in programme. Emirates’ online check-in facilities are now available 24 hours prior to a flight's scheduled departure time and will close only two hours before departure time.
Passengers will be provided with an online check-in receipt once the online check-in process has been completed. They can then proceed to a dedicated counter at the airport to check in their luggage and exchange their online check-in receipt for boarding passes.
Jeyhun Efendi, Area Manager for Thailand and Indochina, said: “The online check-in service has been a great success with our passengers as it speeds up the check-in process and saves on arrival time at the airport. The launch of the new upgrade makes departure even more convenient for Thai passengers.”
Passengers can check in for groups of up to nine persons travelling together as well as for onward flights, providing the travel commences on Emirates. When checking in online, passengers are required to present themselves at the airport counter no later than 90 minutes prior to departure.
Emirates launched the online check-in in October 2005. At present, it is available at 65 destinations across the network.
From Thailand, Emirates Airline operates Boeing 777-300ERs and 777-300s aircraft on the route with 19 flights per week to Dubai; 10 flights per week to Hong Kong; and seven flights per week to Sydney and Auckland.
