Bangkok--15 Jun--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s Index Committee has selected the securities which will form the basis of calculating the SET50 and SET100 indices for H2/2007 or from Jul.1 — Dec. 31, 2007. There is one change affecting the SET50, and 9 affecting the SET100 index, SET Executive Vice President Ms. Nongram Wongwanich said. A security’s eligibility for inclusion depends on its trading value on the main board compared to the market average from June 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007. Eligible firms must be among the top 200 securities having the highest daily average market capitalization values for the previous 12 months, and must have been listed for at least six months. Other eligibility criteria include having a free-float of no less than 20%, not being subject to delisting, and not being or expected to be suspended for a lengthy period. The SET50 index will be calculated using the top 50 eligible securities, while the SET100 index uses the top 100. Should a company lose its eligibility, a replacement will be selected from the next five securities immediately following those in the index list.
