Bangkok--15 Jun--Aziam Burson-Marsteller Nokia opens 10th Nokia Care Center and launches ‘Nokia Software Updater’, enhancing after-sales service and empowering users Nokia celebrates today the opening of its 10th Nokia Care Center at the MBK shopping center and launch of the new ‘Nokia Software Updater’, free phone software upgrade service. The new Nokia Care Center and new service show Nokia sustaining commitment in strengthening after-sales service. Together with the new Nokia Care Center, Nokia has more than 400 Care points nationwide — comprising authorized service points and drop-offs. Nokia is expected to open up another three Nokia Care Centers by end of 2007. Mr. Bob McDougall, Managing Director, Customer and Market Operations, Nokia (Thailand) Ltd said, “Nokia is already the market leader in Thailand for products, and we also aim to be the market leader and differentiate our brand when it comes to customer service. We have taken a close look at how Nokia provides customer care in Thailand — and determined how to enhance it to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction and ensure customers have access to us via any channel they prefer: Nokia website ( www.nokia.co.th/support ), Nokia Care Line (02-255-2111) and Nokia Care Center. In solid partnership with partners like M-Link, Nokia is continually strengthening our customer care by increasing capacity, expanding our collection points nationwide and opening new Nokia Care Centers, such as here at our 10th Nokia Care Center in Thailand at MBK. “At Nokia Care Centers, customers can walk in for service and repairs, for consultationon phone features, usage enquiries, as well as to purchase Nokia phone enhancements and accessories. The Nokia Care Centre is one of the few ways Nokia empowers our customers and enhances the user experience”, said Mr. Grant Perrin, Director of Customer Care, Asia Pacific. “Also introduced today is Nokia Software Updater, a new self service which allows Nokia customers to keep their Nokia phone updated with the latest software, from the comfort of your home, and its free”, added Mr. Perrin. “Nokia Software Updater enables our customers to enjoy the latest and maximum benefits from their Nokia devices. Traditionally, customers need to walk-in to a Nokia Care point if they wanted to have their phone software updated and it was chargeable.” Mr. Anusorn Amornchat, President of M-Link Asia Corporation Public Company Limited said, “M-Link business opportunity will grow along with Nokia rising sales volume and market leadership in Thailand. With a strong partnership between Nokia and M-Link, we are truly confident to deliver the highest standard of service to customers.
