Bangkok--22 Jun--DTAC Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (DTAC) is all set to become Thailand’s first company to have dual listing when it started trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) for the first time on June 22 ,The stock trades under the sign of “DTAC”, which is used for both Thai and Singaporean bourses. The strong interest from investors and IPO price of 40 baht a share with 3 times over subscription. This year, DTAC is also strengthening investors’ confidence further by winning Operator of the year for the third consecutive year from Asian MobileNews Awards 2007 in Singapore Chief Executive Officer Sigve Brekke, disclosed that DTAC stock is listed on the first trading day today (June 22), which was offered at 40 baht a share. The IPO was accompanied by over demand of 3 times of the share allocation with the largest IPO so far this year with a total deal size of Baht 8,880 billion. Final Allocation was approximately 50% retails and 50% institutions. The successful listing of DTAC will positively contribute to the market capitalization of the SET. DTAC is the largest company to be listed on the SET since 2003. DTAC’s listing will contribute around Baht 100 billion to the SET, making DTAC one of 15 largest companies traded on the Thai exchange. DTAC was also awarded Mobile Operator of the Year for Thailand for the 3rd consecutive year at the Asian MobileNews Awards 2007 in Singapore . The official award presentation, held on June 21, has certainly strengthened the confidence of investors in both markets Thailand and Singapore.
