Mr. Ampol Senanarong, Privy Councillor to the Chula Food Science winning team, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University. The FoSTAT - Nestl? Quiz Bowl 2007 seeks out the nation’s next generation of food scientists in order to upgrade Thai food industry on the global arena. This year’s winning team comprising of Mr. Nuntawat Tatiyabawornthum, Ms. Yuppakun Jaturongsamrit, Ms. Apitchaya Leelavanichkul and Ms. Siwaporn Chitngamkusol also receives a cash prize scholarship and an educational trip to widen their food science knowledge at Nestl? Research Center in Singapore. The team will represent Thailand to take part in the first ASEAN competition, to be organised in Malaysia at the end of August. The FoSTAT-Nestl? Quiz Bowl 2007 was recently held at BITEC and attracted food science students from 61 universities and colleges nationwide.
