Bangkok--28 Jun--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Association of Securities Companies and 24 leading securities companies will launch the Star Marketing campaign to broaden the investor base and develop brokerages’ marketing skills. The program, which includes overseas study scholarships and local training for marketers, will run from July to December 2007. “Currently there are about 5,500 marketing representatives advising investors who together trade more than THB 4.0 trillion (about USD 115.27 billion) a year on the stock market. It will promote investment planning together with ethical practice and benefit the industry overall,” SET President Ms. Patareeya Benjapolchai said. Each representative participating in Star Marketing will receive training free-of-charge from Thailand Securities Institute (TSI). They will attend two courses: Mini-TFP (Thailand Financial Planning), plus Tips for Marketing: Tax Benefits and ETFs, and will be eligible to win an overseas study scholarship and the TSI training of their choice.Marketing representatives who are interested in the program can visit www.set.or.th/starmarketing or call 0-2229-2222 for more details.
