Bangkok--6 Jul--Thai Airways International To mark an official state visit of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand to the Russian Federation and commemorate the Thai — Russian 110th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) will be organizing a THAI Night reception on Thursday 12th July 2007 in Moscow. The event aims to create greater awareness among the Russian people of the unique Thai culture and tradition and promote business opportunities between inter-trade opportunities between Russia and Thailand. Over 100 guests are invited including dignitaries and high profile Russian and Thai trade partners. Special menus of Russian’s favorites have been prepared by THAI Catering Services which include Yum Som-O (spicy pomelo salad with shrimp) as a starter followed by Tom Yum Gung (spicy & sour prawns soup with lemongrass), Chuchee Pla Salmon (salmon fillet in chuchee curry stir fried mixed vegetables in oyster sauce and steamed jasmine rice) as the main course and a traditional Thai sweets desert Kao Mao Tod (deep fried banana nuggets with vanilla ice-cream). Delicious Thai snacks such as deep fried minced shrimp in toast, grilled pork satay and deep fried pork wrapped with egg noodle will also be served. In addition to the authentic Thai cuisine, THAI is working in close cooperation with the Rose Garden in organizing Thai classical and Folk performances to depict Thai culture and traditions, portraying various aspects of Thai people such as Kinnaree Hunsa and Thai Boxing.
