Bangkok--11 Jul--Mind Touch Miss Busabong Payatyakul, Category Marketing Manager - MILO, Nestle (Thai) Ltd, reveals that after MILO, the malt chocolate beverage, has announced its major annual sports competition “3rd MILO JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP“, the first championship field for primary school students, which will be held together with the cheerleader and rooters competition to win a trophy granted by HRH Princess Mahachakri Sirindhorn and scholarships worth more than 500,000 baht. The sports competition will be held between July 27 and 29 and has received very good responses from teachers and primary students both in Bangkok and upcountry. “At the end of application period to participate in the “3rd MILO JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP“, we found that over 5,000 young athletes from 214 primary schools both in Bangkok and upcountry interested to join our sports competition. They are from 200 primary schools from Bangkok and outskirts, and another 14 schools from upcountry. All primary schools participated in the competition will send their representatives to join today session (July 4) set to create a clear understanding of rules and regulations of the competition, as well as a drawing event to divide our young athletes into competition groups,” says Miss Busabong. In addition, it will encourage young people to usefully spend their free time. We have allocated significant amount of budgets on annual basis to support various sports from youth to national level. Milo recently has signed a contract agreement to become an official sponsor of the 24th SEA Games Tournament to be hosted in Thailand between December 6 and 15 this year in Nakhon Ratchasima,” Miss Busabong adds that “MILO JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP is an annual sports project initiated by Milo especially for local kids and youths, and being organized for the three consecutive years with the intention to be the first field of sports competition for primary school students.
