Bangkok--12 Jul--M-Biz Asia TT&T Public Company Limited opens house to welcome operational inspection to confirm the readiness of TT&T network to serve its viewers in throughout Thailand. TT&T’s Network Management Center (NMC), the control base that the company uses to test, inspect and manage its system, operates twenty-four hours a day to ensure continuous transmission. In its Internet Data Center (IDC) stands the Maxnet server which provides high speed internet, IPTV network, and IP Core Router. These three are the core central components to deliver services to TT&T customers nationwide. Mr. Prachuab Tantinon, President & Chief Executive Officer of TT&T Public Company Limited stated that throughout the 15 years TT&T has been firmly committed to serve as a reliable telecoms service provider. Mr. Prachuab added that Thailand’s current telecoms market is approximately 217,000 million baht, 35% of which are fixed lines used by about 7 million users. Internet consumption approximates to 11,750 million baht, where 69% of this is broadband internet usage, and 32% is narrow-band internet usage. Thailand’s telecoms expenses amount to USD 6,590 million — this reveals the growth of 6.5% from last year and it is expected to grow by 7.2% to USD 7,060 million by the year 2007 and to USD 7,580 million by the year 2008. The system can be further extended in response to increasing customer base. The network TT&T uses is entirely on IP platform : the regional base’s 10 gigabyte bandwidth networking through fiber optics, and the provincial base’s DSLAM node with 1 gigabyte metro net equipment. IPTV installtion is simple and hassle-free : simply connect the a TV set’s AV cable to TT&T Set Top Box and plug in LAN cable from the Set Top Box to ADSL router. Signals will then be transmitted through dual bronze cables to the IPTV system, using the existing modem currently used for internet broadband serrvice. In this trial stage the Maxnet service will be provided to customers free of charge in the nine provinces : Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok, Khonkaen, Nakhonrachasima, Chonburi, Ayudthaya, Nakhonpathom, Phuket, Suratthani and Songkhla. Mr. Suhum added that to ensure service quality TT&T has network management center that examines and controls operational efficiency of the network throughout the country.
