ข่าวทั่วไป Wednesday July 18, 2007 17:05 —PRESS RELEASE LOCAL

Bangkok--18 Jul--PTT Mr. Chaivat Churitti, Senior Executive Vice President of Oil Business Group — PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), revealed that there are good news that there were signs of weakening global oil prices, especially on gasoline prices, due to easing worries on supply after the refineries in the USA have resumed normal operations as well as the expectation that the level of US Oil Reserves would increase. As of July 18, 2007, the price of gasoline in the world market has eased to US$83.70 per barrel; therefore, PTT has decided to reduce its retail gasoline (gasohol included) prices by 40 satang per liter. As the result, to be effective 5 AM of July 19, 2007, the retail oil prices in Bangkok and the nearby provinces will be as follows: Unit : Baht/Liter Gasoline PTT Alpha X 95 29.59 Gasoline PTT Gasohol 95 Plus 26.09 (Baht3.5 cheaper than Gasoline 95) Gasoline PTT Alpha X 91 28.79 Gasoline PTT Gasohol 91 Plus 25.29 (Baht3.5 cheaper than Gasoline 91) High Speed Diesel PTT Delta X Euro III 25.74 PTT Bio Diesel / Palm Diesel 25.04 (70 Satang cheaper than Diesel) PTT has slashed down its retail gasoline prices for the 2nd consecutive time within the past 5-day period. As the matter of fact, the decisions on price reduction were made immediately after realizing that the global oil prices had weakened. Despite the current weakening of world oil prices, Thai consumers are urged to keep cautious because oil price movement has always been sensitive by many variables such as the factors deriving from the supply side, oil producers, weather condition, political and global economic factors. Alternative fuels can help Thai consumers and the country to save energy expenditure. PTT Gasohol 91 and 95 Plus are now Baht3.50 cheaper than Gasoline 91 and 95. At the same time, NGV is at Baht8.5 per kilogram while PTT Biodiesel / Diesel Palm (which available in 160 PTT Stations) is 70 satang per liter cheaper than ordinary Diesel, said Mr. Chaivat.
