Bangkok--26 Jul--Krungthai Card KTC revolutionizes the reward point scheme. New marketing campaign “Shop Now Get Now” does away with conventional redemption rules. Redeem products and services of your choice with as few as 99 points plus 800 Baht sales slip , no anticipation required. KTC unwraps “Shop Now Get Now”. The new marketing campaign allows KTC credit card and KTC Cash Revolve card holders to redeem products and services even quicker than before with as few as 99 points plus 800 Baht sales slip, no anticipation or catalogue required. It will initially be implemented at nine establishments nationwide: Jiffy, Bond Polichem, The Body Shop, SF Cinema, Swensen’s, Dunkin Donut, Au Bon Pain, Aunty Ann’s and Carrefour from now until September 30th, 2007. The campaign is expected to increase spending by 500 Million Baht in two months. Mr. Woravut Nisapakulthorn, Senior Vice President — Partnership Marketing, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, said “The credit card industry these days is concerned about attracting new members and introducing new promotional campaigns to encourage members to spend more via the card and earn reward points. Unfortunately, using the reward points is not as convenient as it should be. Card holders are generally restricted to only the products and services listed in a single catalogue or to certain establishments specified by the issuing companies. Many card holders fail to redeem their collected points and lose what benefits they should have as a result. And, they need a lot of points with which to redeem products and services in the first place anyway. This is why we want to break all the rules with “Shop Now Get Now” campaign for our KTC Forever Rewards points.” “This “Shop Now Get Now” campaign works out the situation I have just described by allowing members to choose products or services they would like to redeem more easily and conveniently. KTC credit card holders can use a sales slip, and, KTC Cash Revolve card holders can use an ATM slip of 800 Baht or greater with 99 or more KTC Forever Rewards points to redeem products or services at nine partner establishments immediately. We have chosen these partners very carefully to make sure that the varied lifestyles of KTC members are fully satisfied. They are among the most popular establishments and operate branches in all regions of Thailand: Jiffy, Bond Polichem, The Body Shop, SF Cinema, Swensen’s, Dunkin Donut, Au Bon Pain, Aunty Ann’s and Carrefour.” “This requirement of only 99 points is the record low in the Thai credit card industry. We have outdone a previous promotional campaign of ours where we made 3,000 points worth 300 Baht. “Shop Now Get Now” is a two-sided promotional campaign. It encourages spending via the credit card and the personal loan with a requirement of 800 Baht sales slip, and, encourages redemption of products and services using KTC Rewards points at nine partner establishments. The selections for this campaign are among the most popular: salted or sweetened pretzel from Aunty Ann’s, doughnuts and iced coffees from Dunkin Donut. KTC members can redeem immediately at point of sales where “Shop Now Get Now” icon is shown. We will have these icons posted at as many as 1,500 establishments nationwide.” For launching this “Shop Now Get Now” campaign, KTC plans to broadcast the winning pieces of television commercials and radio spots under the contest titled “Talents Don’t Go Unnoticed” which KTC has previously invited university students from across the country to join this activity. The winner announcement will be held on July 31st, 2007 at House Rama RCA. Card holders can try redeeming products and services from partners’ booths at Promotion Area, Zone C, 1st Floor, Central Plaza Ladprao from today until August 1st, 2007. “The first phase of “Shop Now Get Now” will run from today to September 30th, 2007. We believe that this move to break the rules of reward points will be well received. It is expected that the two months of this first phase will increase spending via KTC credit cards and KTC Cash Revolve personal loan cards by 500 Million Baht.”, said Woravut in conclusion.
