Bangkok--1 Aug--ScottAsia Communications United Airlines' regional flight attendants celebrate the first anniversary of United's regional flight attendant base in Bangkok. The opening of the flight attendant base last year represents a significant investment and finesses the airline's cultural and language skills, including Thai, that are appreciated by most frequent business travelers from Thailand. The 123 regional flight attendants serve on United's intra-Asia routes. United has more than 1,200 flight attendants based in Asia, with flight attendant bases in Tokyo and Hong Kong and another regional flight attendant base in Singapore.United Airlines in Thailand United Airlines began scheduled services to Thailand in 1986. Today, United Airlines operates a daily flight to the U.S. from Suvarnabhumi Bangkok International Airport via Tokyo Narita International Airport in Japan. From Tokyo, United has convenient connections with flights to six U.S. cities including Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C., and Honolulu. United in Thailand employs nearly 200 people in the areas of airport operations, cargo, sales and marketing, and administration.
