Bangkok--1 Aug--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s Board of Governors has approved new or additional positions for SET group’s executives, effective August 1, 2007, as follows: Mr. Punsak Vejanurug, currently the SET Executive Vice President-Capital Market Education, will become CEO and Content Committee Chairman of Family Know-How Co., Ltd. (FKH). “Market education about savings and investment is an important SET priority. Thailand Securities Institute (TSI) has been charged with the mission of increasing both the general public’s and industry practitioners’ understanding of financial instruments and innovations. FKH is a complementary media production facility educating the market through television, radio and the Money & Wealth Magazine. The new appointment will enhance the group strategically,” Ms. Patareeya said. The Board also appointed Ms. Nongram Wongwanich, currently Executive Vice President-Corporate Affairs, to also be President of the new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Institute. She will ensure that the institute is a core agency in the promotion of socially and environmentally responsible business. Mr. Chanitr Charnchainarong, President of the Market for Alternative Investment (mai), is also to become SET Senior Vice President-Capital Market Opportunity Center. Mr. Chanitr will be responsible for increasing the supply of listed securities on both the main board and mai. “This appointment will boost market efficiency and ensure conformity with SET’s strategic plan, thus benefiting the Exchange and the capital market overall,” Ms. Patareeya concluded.
