Facts on The Green Valley Country Club Known as one of the oldest golf courses in Thailand, the Green Valley Country Club is an 18-hole, 72 par course that is 7,048 yards long. Located on Bangna-Trad Highway, km. 15 and 30 minutes from Bangkok, it is situated in the beautiful Thai countryside and includes hundreds of trees and shrubs. Built and designed in 1988 by the renowned American golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course consists of some very difficult holes that include long water shots on the opening holes of both the front and back nine. Fairways result in many sloping lies and many of the greens are hidden behind huge mounds. The 4 par fives are all tough holes; the 11th and 18th particularly so with water hazards lining both sides of the fairways. Clever placement of bunkers and undulating greens add to the challenging nature of this very exacting course.
