Suvarnabhumi Airport Well-Prepared for Rain Leakage

Bangkok--6 Aug--AOT Mr. Serirat Prasutanond, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport, disclosed that as yet, over 40 placesof roof leakage of passenger terminal and concourses has already been repaired. The 20 remain will certainly be completed by this coming August. However, it has been raining heavily in Bangkok at present; and rain leakage may occur at some unrepairedplaces yet which might mildly affect passengers. The airport has had Airport of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) staff survey all servicing areas; should amount of water be spotted, cleaners will imediately clean the place and a repair will be made quickly right after it stops raining. Mr. Serirat added that the glass roof of passenger terminal and concourses covers an area of 150,000 square metres and the leakage found is in 60 small places AOT has started repairing them since June.
