Bangkok--9 Aug--Thai Airways International On the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s Birthday, 12th August 2007, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, organizes activities to pay homage to Her Majesty the Queen, “Mae Fah Khu Phra Baramee”. The opening ceremony will be presided over by Thanpuying Chitravadee Chulanont, spouse of H.E. General Surayud Chulanont, Prime Minister, together with THAI’s President, Flg. Off. Apinan Sumanaseni, with attendance of THAI’s Management and employees. Flg. Off. Apinan Sumanaseni, THAI’s President, said that to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday, 12th August 2007, THAI is organizing activities under the theme “Mae Fah Khu Phra Baramee” during 8-10 August 2007 at its Head Office. The activities will allow THAI’s employees to take part in paying respect to Her Majesty the Queen and to pledge their loyalty to the Queen. The said activities include a Ceremony to Pay Respect to Her Majesty the Queen, “Im Oon” song performance by a famous artist, Su Boonliang, Thai Silk Fashion Show by Paothong Thongchua, and Products for sale including silk products from Silpacheep Foundation, agricultural products from Demonstration Farm under the Her Majesty’s Royal Project, food and deserts from Silpacheep Shop 904 under HRH Princess Srirasm, Royal Consort to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, Doi Tung’s trees and coffee and OTOP products from the three southern provinces. In addition, THAI will provide special services for passengers on this occasion. The services include; a special menu on board THAI’s flights, which will be served to all passengers traveling on international flights departing from Bangkok between 11 - 13 August 2007 except for breakfast servings; THAI’s Inflight Entertainment Special programme, “Thailand Today” on domestic flights on 12th August 2007 during 06.00 — 19.00 hours. The programme features Her Majesty the Queen’s Royal Duties. All passengers traveling on domestic flights departing from Bangkok on 12th August will also receive jasmine flowers after meal.
