The highlight and most talked about event will be a RIEDEL glass tasting. The RIEDEL Glass tasting will take place on the 28th of August 2007 at 4.00 pm. Guests will be tasting four different wines, using the RIEDEL glass and comparing them to an ordinary wine glass. The glass tasting will be followed by a four course celebration menu at the New York Steakhouse. The dinner includes a set of RIEDEL wine glasses. RIEDEL is known for changing the world of wine with its revolutionary concept of functional stemware and led the way for increased wine enjoyment. Mr Mark Baulderstone started his career with the RIEDEL Company in 1995 as a sales executive for a company called Ambient which was the main distribution of RIEDEL in Australia. Mr Baulderstone rose through the ranks to become Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia and New Zealand in 1997. Further progressing to Regional Manager working directly for RIEDEL Glass Austria in 2001 in-charge of Sales and Marketing for the territory of Asia Pacific and the Middle East. His roots in the wine industry started at a very young age, when he had a unique opportunity with hand on experience at some of Austrailias best wine vineyards. Later Mr. Baulderstone continued his training in the wine industry when he completed a Sensory Evaluation course at the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy College in 1993.
