After JTEPA takes effect, the tariffs for pears, peaches, persimmons and apples will be waived to 0%, while those for melons, grapes, and Japanese yam will be reduced every year. It assumed to be take effect between October and December this year. Therefore, it is a good opportunity Thai food industry and consumers to enjoy better quality Japanese fruits at lower prices.
