Bangkok--15 Aug--PR & Associates Offering print on demand services equivalent to offset printing Bangkok A Card, a pioneer and leader in the card cord business, has launched a full-service ‘Print and Cut on Demand’ service centre on the third floor of the Fortune Plaza IT Mall, predicting that Print on Demand business will grow by at least 100 per cent next year/over the next 12 months. Mr. Viroj Srisodsai, Managing Director of Bangkok A Card, said that demand for offset quality ‘Print on Demand’ services was growing very quickly. This growth prompted the decision to invest over 40 million baht in the new service centre at the Fortune IT Mall. It is the first printing service in the Asian region to use a Canon imagePRESS C7000VP. Bangkok A Card is differentiating its services from its competitors by investing in the best equipment to offer full before and after printing services as a one-stop express service. Service Centre staff are also offering consultation and design services as well as total printing, binding and die-less cutting services. Mr. Viroj said that by using a Canon imagePRESS C7000VP the company would be able to control staffing costs to have just one or two employees to control the printer functions at each step of the printing process, adding the efficiency of the business. The new Canon machine can do everything from photocopying to printing, scanning, binding (sewn and glued), hole punching and binding on rings. It is suitable for production printing and for express jobs. The colour accuracy is outstanding and it can print at a consistent speed of 70 sheets a minute on paper as heavy as 300 grammes. Mr. Viroj is very confident that the new printer will meet the needs of the company’s large customer base, which currently numbers more than 1,000. Bangkok A Card expects to expand its customer base to include about 70 per cent small to medium sized enterprises such as hotels, restaurants, spas, OTOP producers and export industries who have a demand for promotional printed materials especially on the personalized items.
