Bangkok--29 Aug--JW Marriott Bangkok JW Marriott Bangkok’s General Manager Peter Caprez, recently announced the appointment of Dieter Ruckenbauer as the new Executive Chef at JW Marriott Bangkok. Dieter started his culinary in 1988, he first joined the Marriott Family in 1996 as Management Trainee at The Salt Lake City Marriott in United State of America. After a couple of years, he moved to Asia and joined JW Marriott Hong Kong as Sous Chef and Amman Marriott in Jordan as Executive Sous Chef. He then joined the Singapore Marriott for another 3 years as Executive Sous Chef. During this time, he was also involved in developing new restaurant concepts and promotions and got certified as food hygiene trainer. Prior to this appointment, he was the Executive Chef at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel in Hongqiao, China, where he had been for the last two years. He also held the position of Cluster Executive Chef, taking care of leveraging, training and development of kitchen operation for 6 Marriott properties in Shanghai. He also had various taskforce assignments including the Cebu Marriott in the Philippines and the JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa as well as JW Marriott Bangkok during the Regional Asia Pacific Operations Meetings.
