The new collection is distinguished by the finishing of its models, featuring white or black lacquered dials providing a striking background for the sturdy phosphorescent hands, echoed by spindle-shaped hour-markers also enhanced with a Superluminova coating. An outer ring displaying the minutes reinforces the technical appearance of this watch. Informed connoisseurs will note the arrangement of the apertures, with the day of the month appearing at 12, whereas the days of the week, spelt out in full, are positioned at 6 o’clock. As a nod to the Asian custom of expressing the day of the week in numbers, the latter have been added above the names of the week days, with the exception of Sunday, where the number 7 is replaced by the brand-emblem stylised five-petal flower . This motif is also picked up on the dial just above the name “Titoni” and the word “automatic” appearing on top of the crown. Like a submarine hatch, the bezel has been sealed to the watch by four visible screws imbedded into the case. The screw threads create a small bulge on the side of the case, further reinforcing the rugged, powerful personality of Airliner watches. The face and back are both protected by scratchproof sapphire crystals. All models in this collection are resistant to a depth of 50 metres. The black rubber strap or solid steel bracelet teamed with the Airliner watches are fitted with a folding clasp. They also ensure the refinement of ideal wearer comfort thanks to a highly ergonomic system of mobile lugs with self-locking screws guaranteeing a perfect fit on the wrist.
