SCIB launches an SCIB-AIT Visa Platinum Card

Bangkok--6 Sep--Siam City Bank Siam City Bank in cooperation with the Asian Institute of Technology has launched an “SCIB-AIT Visa Platinum Card” giving special privileges to cardholders. A Cash Back program of SCIB returns 0.80% worth of every purchase made through the card to the scholarship fund of the Asian Institute of Technology. The fund revenues go to students with academic excellence in need of financial assistance. The cardholders will hold 3 benefits: the 24-hour Global Concierge service available in any part of the world; access to the VIP business class lounge at the airport; and life insurance with a total coverage of Bht. 20 million. Mr. Chaiwat Utaiwan, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Siam City Bank stated that SCIB and AIT is issuing the Visa Platinum Card to the faculty members, staff as well as the current students and the alumni of AIT. The card has an AIT logo thereby giving a sense of identity and pride of the institution. The privileges for the cardholders include: a free joining fee, a free annual fee for the first 3 years and credit services at VISA member stores constituting 120,000 in Thailand and more than 25 million all over the world. In addition, for every purchase through SCIB-AIT VISA Platinum Card, AIT will benefit from the Cash back program in which up to 0.80% worth of the purchase value will go into the scholarship fund of AIT. The cardholders will be ensured of their security while using the card with the built-in EMV chip. At the same time, the cardholders can also enjoy the 24-hour Global Concierge Service which will assist in their needs any time and anywhere in the world. While traveling, the cardholder will have an access to the service of the Louis Tavern VIP Lounge at the Suvarnabhumi airport. Moreover, in case of emergency when traveling by car, the cardholder will also be provided with roadside assistance and a travel accident insurance with a total coverage of USD 500,000 or around Bht. 20,000,000 as well as the Purchase Protection Plan with a total coverage of Bht. 40,000 per card annually. “For the SCIB, it is an honor to establish this partnership with AIT in providing financial assistance to the fellow AIT community who are known for their strength and academic excellence, expertise, as well as local and international recognition.
