Universal benchmark bolstered at Bangkok RHVAC 2007 and Bangkok E&E 2007

Bangkok--12 Sep--thaitradefair Successful establishment of Thai industry on the universal par will be showed off at Bangkok Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (Bangkok RHVAC 2007) and Bangkok Electric and Electronics Fair (Bangkok E&E 2007). The fair, held by Department of Export Promotion, Commerce Ministry, also aims to create awareness on energy saving and environmental responsibility with various seminars and exhibition. Bangkok RHVAC 2007 and Bangkok E&E 2007 is held on September 12-16, 2007 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bangna. Bangkok RHVAC 2007, which has been held for the sixth time, is considered Asia’s second biggest trade fair after China’s. It is also widely recognized as one of the world’s top five air-conditioning and refrigeration exhibitions. Under the theme, “Clean Environment and Cooling Comfort”, Bangkok RHVAC 2007 is promoting energy saving and environmental friendly air-conditioner and refrigeration system, which are in demand worldwide. A total of 515 show booths from 170 companies in countries such as China, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, U.S.A., Japan, Korea and Italy will be presenting a comprehensive range of air-conditioners, refrigeration, heaters, and ventilation systems i.e. household air-conditioner, industrial air-conditioner, refrigeration, heaters, ventilation systems and their part, material and services. Bangkok E&E has been held for the second time, with the determination of the organizers to promote Thailand as the hub of Asia’s production and export of electrical and electronic products. The trade fair is also aiming to reassure Thailand’s strength in producing quality products from raw materials to finished products. Under the theme, “Satisfaction and Innovation for a Better Life,” Bangkok E&E 2007 is promoting energy saving and environmental friendly goods. A total of 90 show booths from 47 companies in countries such as Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand will be presenting a comprehensive range of home appliances, lightings, audio and visual appliances and their part, material and services, as well as, telecommunication products, Fiber Optics, modems and mobile phones, the products that are being in demand. Around 20,000 local and international buyers are expected to attend the fairs, especially buyers and importers from ASEAN, South Asia, the Middle-East, China and Europe. “We foresee that RHVAC 2007 will be able to boost the export of air-conditioning products and their parts by 5 percent or around 2.4 billion U.S. dollars.At the same time, we expect E&E 2007 to increase the export of electrical appliances by 5 percent or around 15.45 billion U.S. dollars. While we anticipate the export of electronic products will grow by 15 percent or around 30.94 billion baht,” said DEP’s Director-General, Mr. Rachane Potjanasuntorn. Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, electric and electronics industries have continually been contributing revenue to Thailand. Products in the industries have been among the highest 15 export products of the country. During the first half of this year, the export value of electronic products is USD 14.2 billion. While the value of electrical appliances export is as high as USD 8.26 billion and the export of air-conditioner and its parts is worth USD 1.7 billion. The exporters of manufactured products in the industries are also enjoying number of the export values because the demand of the products is consistent. At the same time, Thailand has produced quality goods that pass the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) standards. “Thai industrial development must be directed toward the improvement of the energy efficient and environmental friendly products to reach the universal standards i.e. the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS), Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Energy-using Products (EuP) that will guide us in producing Eco Design in the future,” said the Director-General. The highlights of this year’s Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E include: Seminars, encourage energy saving and environmental conservation. Clean Environment and Cooling Comfort — discusses the selection of suitable freezing systems, the improvement of ventilation system’s energy efficiency. Thailand Electrical and Electronics Green Society 2007 — an international academic discussing session on industrial recycling, the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) and Europe’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH) regulation. Business Presentation: An opportunity for the manufacturers to introduce new products to their industrial partners, so that the presentation will be reaching directly to the target. Design Circle Thailand, a product exposition that aims to introduce the new generation of industrial designers, either from academic institutes, private organizations or independent designers, to the market. This campaign is first launch at Bangkok E&E 2007 by DEP’s Office of Product Value Development. Additionally, Bangkok RHVAC 2007 and Bangkok E&E 2007 will feature an exhibition to showcase the capacity of Thai electrical and electronic industry as well as air -conditioning/refrigeration industry and an exhibition to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the FTI’s Electrical & Electronics Industry Club. Visitors to the Bangkok E&E 2007 will also have a unique opportunity to witness the final competition of “the 1st Embedded Systems on New Industrial Design Camp and Contest 2007” launched by the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), to select the best genius product developed by Thai student. The three finalists will be competed for a trophy and a 150,000 baht cash prize. Bangkok E&E 2007 will be organized concurrently with Bangkok Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning 2007 (Bangkok RHVAC 2007) and Thailand International Logistics Fairs 2007 — the largest and most comprehensive logistics trade show in the ASEAN region.
