Bangkok--20 Sep--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s Thailand Securities Institute and Money Channel have launched Young Financial Star Competition, aimed at enhancing the financial knowledge and securities research skills of college students. The event offers prizes of about a million baht. The competition will demonstrate to young people that money management can improve the quality of life and overall economy, SET’s Capital Market Education Division Chairman Mr. Punsak Vejanurug said. “Because Young Financial Star Competition integrates the previous Money Management Award and Young Researcher Competition programs, students can now learn more about money management, insurance, and securities analysis in the one program. Participants will also have the opportunity of joining a study tour of a leading financial institution,” Mr. Punsak said. Young Financial Star Competition begins on October 7, 2007 and is open to junior undergraduates through to graduates aged 25 or less. Applications are being received from today until September 30 on www.tsi-thailand.org/MMAandYRC, free-of-charge.
