Bangkok--24 Sep--Thai Airways THAI organizes Book of Voice Project “Phorn Jaak Fah” and other Projects to Celebrate His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday anniversary on 5th December 2007 Thai Airways International Public Company Limited’s head office, Flg. Apinan Sumanaseni, THAI’s President and Mrs. Sunathee Isvarphornchai, Vice President, Corporate Communications will jointly preside over the press conference announcing THAI’s project called Book of Voice “Phorn Jaak Fah” and others projects that were initiated to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary on 5th December 2007. Apinan Sumanaseni, THAI’s President said “This year, 2007 is a significant year for Thailand and Thai people to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary on 5th December 2007. THAI has organized numerous projects to commemorate His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary. I am also pleased to extend a cordial invitation to the people of all nations to join THAI in celebrating His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary by recording their voices in the book of voice “Phorn Jaak Fah”, THAI’s highlighted project” Book of Voice “Phorn Jaak Fah” Project : June — December 2007 THAI invited Thai people to record their voices by reading His Majesty’s doctrine on the CD. The movable recorder room will be provided and located around the city and Thailand such as Siam Paragon and Central department. The recorded CD as a book of voice will be given to blind institution and others educational organizations to educate their people.. The book of voice will be a tool to communicate His Majesty’s guidance for his people to follow and live their lives. Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana will graciously preside over the official opening of the Book of Voices “Phorn Jaak Fah” Project on Wednesday 3rd October 2007 at 17.00 hrs. at Living Gallery, 3rd Floor, Siam Paragon. Her Royal Highness will be the first to record her voice for this project. The moveable recorder room will be relocated around the city and Thailand such as THAI’s head office, Siam Paragon Department Store, Hua Lam Pong Train Station, Kon Kaen Train Station etc… for inviting Thai people to record their voices and the book of voice will be presented to His Majesty the King in the middle of December. Other projects and activities organized by THAI are : 1. Mileage for Merit Project : March 2007 — March 2008 THAI invites ROP members to donate their mileage for 80 monks to travel to Buddhist holy place and invites customers to join the flight to earn merits in India for His Majesty’s the King. 2. Phorn Jaak Fah Program : April — December 2007 Thai, channel 11 has produced and broadcasted a short program to celebrate His Majesty the King 80th Birthday by collecting His Majesty’s remarks, which have touched the lives of Thai people and his life’s works in sustainable development. The broadcast of His Majesty’s remarks and projects are for Thai to honor His Majesty’s the King talents. 3. Reforestation Project: 16 June 2007 The project, which was initiated since 1995, is to allow THAI’s employee to take part in planting and preserving the forest. The event occurred on 16 June 2007 at Huay Sai District, Petchaburi Province. 4. Special Presentation Briefings from the Sky … Briefings that Sufficience (Phorn Jaak Fah Phorn Por Piang) Project The special presentation project aims to promote His Majesty’s the King’s initiatives for his people especially the sufficiency economy philosophy worldwide. The project is to deliver His Majesty’s story to Thai people living abroad given lectured by Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary of Chaipattana foundation allowing them aware of His Majesty the King’s philosophy. The presentation organized in United States of America: 25 — 26 June 2007 and Tokyo, Japan: 26 August 2007 respectively. 5. Gift from the Sky (Naam Jai Jaak Fah Soo Nong) : 20 — 21 November 2007 THAI in cooperation with Royal Thai Air Force made a donation of school equipments to schools in the three southern provinces to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary. This is to create moral in sharing goods and showing compassion to Thai people in the three Southern provinces by THAI staff who volunteers to renovate eight school libraries located in Southern by THAI staff volunteers. 6. Phorn Jaak Fah Following Father’s Steps : September — December 2007 The project is to persuade THAI’s staff to present plan or project following His Majesty the King’s doctrine which can actually process. The winner of any project, which will be considered to be company’s project in the future, will be awarded. 7. Special Customer Services On Board: 4 — 6 December 2007 THAI will serve special menu onboard by using products from the Royal Project Foundation for all flights departing from Bangkok during 4-6 December 2007. Also, passengers will receive commemorative souvenirs on this auspicious occasion
