Bangkok--24 Sep--Image Impact The Dubliner Public House is proud to announce its annual charity golf and dinner event on the 28th of September 2007 to raise funds for the Human Development Foundation (HDF), the operator of Father Joe Maier's Mercy Centre. This event is not just about raising funds for the orphaned and poor children in the many Bangkok slums, but more importantly to bring a commendable cause into the public eye. The Mercy Centre presently cares for nearly 300 orphans and needy children, located in Klong Toey. The grounds house five orphanages and shelters, a home for mothers and children with HIV/AIDS, an adult AIDS hospice, a 4,000-pupil kindergarten school and the facilities of all its community outreach and education programs. With the money raised from The Dubliner charity event a hand of hope is extended to those who need it the most. The one-day fund-raising event is to include a golf tournament at the picturesque Muang Kaew golf course, located on Bangna 7 km. Suitably paired by an evening event at the Dusit Thani, where a Charity Dinner & Auction will take place with entertainment. The night's proceedings welcome celebrity guest appearances from former Miss Universe 2005, Natalie Glebova, with further celebrities to confirm. A magnitude of prizes is being auctioned off to help raise money for the children of the Mercy Centre. Among the prizes include 2 round-trip business class air tickets to Paris plus 2 nights accommodation and two VIP tickets to the Rugby World Cup finals, signed football shirts by Jonah Lomu, Steve Thompson and Joe Cole, respectively and a trip to attend the King's Cup Regatta in Phuket this December, to name but a few.
