Bangkok--27 Sep--SET Thai Nondestructive Testing PCL (TNDT) will list on the Market for Alternative Investment (mai) on September 28, 2007, after raising THB 62 million in capital. The funds are to used to procure equipment and tools and expand their upcountry branches. This will be the first mai-listed company from SME Venture Capital Fund. The firm will use the trading symbol TNDT, mai President Mr. Chanitr Charnchainarong said. The company has total paid-up capital of THB 100 million, consisting of 80 million existing common shares and 20 million capital increase shares, with a par value of THB 1.00 each. The firm offered 20 million shares during its initial public offering (IPO) on September 14, and 17-18, 2007 at THB 3.10 per share. TNDT’s capital increase is not significant but should rise after its listing. Asset Pro Management Co., Ltd. is its financial advisor and Capital Nomura Securities PCL is its underwriter. TNDT’s IPO price reflects a P/E Ratio of 11.30 (based on the company’s 12-month net profit per share from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007). Meanwhile, mai’s average P/E ratio as of July 31, 2007 was 11.65. The firm’s dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 40% of its net profit after allocating all reserves required by law. TNDT specializes in inspection and engineering safety testing, particularly nondestructive testing (NDT), which detects defects such as cracking, leakage and contamination, without causing physical or quality change to the test object. The company tests and inspects equipment safety systems for large steel structures, oil, gas and chemical pipelines and high-pressure containers, such as natural gas vehicles (NGV) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders and boilers. The company’s main customers are from the refining, exploration, production and construction industries. These include firms such as IRPC PCL, Nippon Steel Engineering & Construction Corporation, PTT Chemical PCL, PTT Exploration and Production PCL and Unimit Engineering PCL. TNDT has two major shareholders - the Satavuthi family with a combined shareholding of 57.37%, and SME Venture Capital Fund (SMEVC) which holds 10% of paid-up capital after the IPO.
