Bangkok--28 Sep--Glow Energy Glow Energy reports that on Thursday, September 27th, 2007, a limited volume of diesel, estimated at around one drum, was leaked into the discharge canal of the industrial estate. As soon as the leak was spotted, the Company mobilized its resources and implemented the necessary procedures to deal with the problem. Blockades were quickly set up in the drainage system to prevent the leaked oil from flowing into the open sea and measures were taken to remove the oil from the canal. Glow also immediately contracted specialists to assist the company with the clean up. The company has also initiated a root cause analysis program to find out how the leak happened so as to prevent future incidents. Glow reiterates that it takes very seriously its responsibility towards the local community and environment.
