For Bangkok E&E, there were a total of 90 booths from 47 companies exhibiting in this year’s show — 30 booths of out those were filled up with industrial parts/accessories items, another 19 booths were taken up with home appliances. Meanwhile, a number of exhibitors have reportedly gained favorable success from participating in this year’s fair, especially in terms of having an increase in sale volume and business opportunities. Mr. Kittiphon Thiwekanont, sales and marketing manager of Ekarat Solar Co., Ltd. — the country’s very first producer and exporter of solar modules including solar cell, disclosed that the company foresees more sales volume to be produced in the near future as the company is now negotiating with new clients from Indonesia and Kuwait after having talked at Bangkok E&E fair. Personally, I do believe that Thailand could be the center of air-conditioning and refrigeration trade show in this region,” she added. On the other side, most of international buyers expressed their satisfaction on Thai goods, especially in term of their quality standard. They also admired the fairs’ organizer for raising the concept of energy-saving and environment al concerns as the fairs’ theme. Mr. Luke Vandersluis, a representative from an Australia’s firm who first visited Bangkok RHVAC 2007 to look for parts and accessories for its cooling manufacturing, said that the strong point of products made in Thailand is its high quality that meets the universal standard. He added that it’s good for Thai manufacturers to focus on employing energy-saving and environment-friendly manufacturing technology which is highly demanded in the global market at present. He added that the Bangkok RHVAC 2007 is proved to be one of the world’s leading trade shows in refrigeration and cooling industry. Apart from business activities, a number of trade seminars were also set up to update the audiences with the global market’s trend and demands as well as latest manufacturing technology. One of the highlights was a two-days international conference on green electrical products entitled ‘Thailand Electrical and Electronics Green Society 2007’ organized by Thailand’s Electrical and Electronics Institute (EEI) which was aimed at improving local E&E producers’ technical understandings of how importing countries are enforcing new regulations regarding electrical products. Bangkok RHVAC 2007 and Bangkok E&E 2007 are, by all means, considered as truly helpful business platforms that bring about greater business opportunities to local Thai manufacturers and exporters. Besides, they also served as the right venues to manifest the proven capability of Thailand’s air-conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and electronics manufacturing industries, particularly their complete quality-control standard that meets the world’s requirement. The next shows, Bangkok RHVAC 2009 and Bangkok E&E 2009, are already set up to be held on September 9-13, 2009 at BITEC Bang-na, as usual.
