Bangkok--11 Oct--DTAC Following the success of ‘SIM for Us’, Happy today launched “Twin Numbers”, the new limited edition SIM, for customers to call their loved ones for free, around the clock. “We are not expecting to make a lot of money from this product. Instead, we hope to create good feelings among our customers to make them stay with us longer,” according to Thana Thienachariya, DTAC’s Chief Commercial Officer. It was also the Happy team's mission to present customers with something that did not only give them tangible benefits but also touched their hearts. Inspired by the strong bond between twins, the twin SIM package came with 2 almost identical mobile numbers, allowing the numbers’ users to call each other for free, 24 hours. “Although this group of customers may not generate a lot of revenues for us, we still want to offer them with something special to strengthen our relationship with them,” Thana said. Dr. Ketchayong Skowratananont, head of Prepaid Business Division, added that the new SIM was not produced to compete with other products in the market. “What we want is to see our customers enjoy using our service and hope that this new SIM will touch our customers’ hearts the same way the ‘SIM for Us’ did last year. Through this kind of package, we have noticed that our customers tend to stay with us longer, resulting in a lower churn rate in our network,” he said. The ‘Twin Numbers’ SIM is produced in a limited edition of just 50,000 sets. A package, priced at 99 baht, consists of two prepaid SIMs and two almost identical numbers. Customers and their ‘twins’ can call each other for free, around the clock. Calling to other numbers across all networks is charged at Bt1.50 per minute. Happy has also developed a new TV commercial, printed and radio adverts to promote the new product nationwide.
