Bangkok--12 Oct--PR SOLUTION Mr. Supachai Chearavanont, CEO & President of True Corporation Plc (SET:TRUE) informed the Board of Directors of the appointment of Mr Noppadol Dej-Udom as Deputy Chief Financial Officer. From 1st January 2008 Mr. Dej-Udom will replace Mr William Harris as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr Dej-Udom, previously Director and General Manager of True’s Online business, will work closely with Mr Harris over the next few months’ transition period. Mr Harris, 46, has been True’s CFO since 2001, having joined the company in 1999 as a secondee from Verizon. He wants to spend more time with his family in his native United States. Mr Harris will retain his Board positions at True Move. True President and CEO Mr Supachai Chearavanont thanked Mr Harris for his significant contributions to True. “While we regret Khun Bill’s decision to leave us, we understand his reasons and wish him and his family all the best.” “I’m confident that Khun Noppadol will be a world-class CFO. In his 10 years with True he has had several successful assignments, including working for Khun Bill in Finance, and has been central to the development of our very successful broadband business.” Prior to joining True, Mr Dej-Udom, 40, was Group Managing Director, TV and Radio for Siam TV and Communications Co., Ltd. Mr Dej-Udom has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York State. In his last year at Sasin he was selected to attend the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr Harris said his decision to resign was not made lightly. “I’ve spent more than eight enjoyable and extremely rewarding years at True, during which time the company’s financial position has improved dramatically. Now that True is financially strong and has a well-diversified business model, I am comfortable stepping aside to begin a new chapter in my life,” said Mr Harris. “Thailand is Khun Bill’s second home and he will always be welcome back,” said Mr Chearavanont.
