Bangkok--16 Oct--PRdd Kerry Logistics (KL) has established a cross border transportation company named Kerry Asia Road Transport (KART). Combining the global expertise and the cross border services forms an ideal service to the region. KART commenced operations in July 2007 operating with more than 30 trailer trucks providing seamless road transportation services between Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Services will be expanded to include Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and China in 2008. A “Kerry Station” will be opened each country providing a full range of services within the countries that KART connects. The new network will build prosperity for all Asians by reducing logistics costs and ensuring cost effective distribution solutions are available to all. With a 40m Baht investment, the new company will introduce a range of value added services providing customers a comprehensive, full, 1 stop shop, service range, from manufacturing to the end user and anything in between. Integrated web based IT systems will provide full visibility throughout the entire supply chain. KART projects over 25% growth annually excluding revenues to be gained from the new last mile services which will use Thailand as the hub for the entire range of logistics services.
