Bangkok--19 Oct--Mentor International The Dual Master's Degree Programme in Engineering Management at the Regional Centre for Manufacturing Systems Engineering (RCMSE) of the Engineering Faculty, Chulalongkorn University will organize a free public seminar on International Joint Ventures Development and Management. The rapid change in global marketplace, fierce competition, the need to limit cost and risk in new product development and to respond quickly to business change — these are just some of the reasons why collaboration, sometimes known as joint ventures, are becoming increasingly important. A joint venture is a collaborative association between organizations to meet a specific, mutually beneficial objective. Collaborations of all types bring with them a significant number of management challenges rarely encountered in other business relationships. With its increasingly important part of business and commercial activity nowadays, we have organized this seminar to provide a good understanding and guidelines on the selection of the most appropriate formats to suit particular business needs. This seminar will be held on Thursday 1st November 2007, 13.30 — 16.00 hrs. at the main auditorium, Charoenwisawakam Building (building 4), Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. It will be conducted by Stephen Anthony Raynor, Senior Teaching Fellow from Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick.
