Bangkok--29 Oct--Bangkok Exhibition Services The official results have been released for the FBAT International Wine Challenge 2007 held during the International Food and Hospitality Show (IFHS) 2007. The competition featured Thailand’s leading imported wines and was co-organized by the Food & Beverage Association of Thailand (FBAT) and Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd. (BES) and also sponsored by Riedel wine glass company from Austria. This National competition was established to seek out the best wine of the year in the various wine categories stipulated by the panel of expert judges. The overall winner for the “Super Premium” class was “Elderton Barossa Merlot 2004”, a Merlot variety form South Australia, imported by Festive Wine & Beverage Co., Ltd. The title for overall winner in the “Premium” class was awarded to “Pedler Creek”, a Carbernet Sauvignon wine imported by Justin Junior Co., Ltd. Mr. Sanjog Modgil presided over the competition as President of FBAT and Mr. Ranjith Chandrasiri, the President of the Royal Cliff Wine Club was elected as the Chairman of Judges.
