Bangkok--30 Oct--PR & Associates The Marketing Association of Thailand (MAT) invites GE Money Thailand to organize the 17th Marketing Plan J-MAT Award ‘Financial Loan Service - The Responsible Lending’ to win Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Trophy and scholarship. Khun Somboon Prasitjutrakul, MAT President, says that the Marketing Plan J-MAT Award is one of the Association’s principal missions as it seeks to create new marketeers for Thailand business and commerce by working closely with university students nationwide. This contest will help them to develop both knowledge and professional education. “Topics are chosen for each contest from differing industries and reflect in part the country’s social climate. This year’s topic is different from the last 16 contests as it showcases the financial loan products which have become part of every household’s life. Having ‘Financial Loan Service - The Responsible Lending’ is a very interesting title and I am sure that using GE Money First Choice Card as the product sample will prove to be an exciting challenge for both varsity students and teachers,” he adds. GE Money Thailand President Piriyah Wisedjinda is keen to see a new generation of financial services marketeers emerge from the current crop of undergraduates in Thailand. The challenge for students is to create a strategy and a marketing plan for a consumer financial product - placing considerable emphasis upon a responsible lending policy and making sure that this ethic is maintained at every stage in the development and promotion of the product, extending to after-sales service as well. The plan must also include consumer education to encourage the public to be more disciplined in their financial spending and management. The J-MAT Award contest offers specific advantages which set it apart from other marketing plan contests. It provides a unique platform for major business operations in Thailand to experience at the first hand the strength and depth of our university talent. Winners of the contest receive the ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Trophy’ and a scholarship valued at THB 100,000. The award scheme is open to all third and four year university students, irrespective of their faculty or degree course. Deadline for applications is November 19, 2007, when a project briefing will be held from 12.30 hrs until 16.30 hrs at the Royal Golden Jubilee Building near the Bangkok Hospital, New Petchburi Road. Projects must be submitted no later than December 22nd 2007.
