The film provides fascinating information about mountaineering as well as breathtaking footage of the Alpine scenery and the life and culture of the people of the Swiss Alps. The Alps is produced and distributed by MacGillivray Freeman Films, the maker of the globally acclaimed documentary shorts, Dolphins and The Living Sea. Executive producers are Greg MacGillivray and Academy Award nominee Mark Krenzien, and the film is directed by Stephen Judson who also wrote the script with Stephen Venables. It is narrated by one of England’s leading actors, Michael Gambon, and features the music of Queen.
