CMG successfully organized the announcement of worn look jean “Wrangler… Build Your Own Identity Contest”

Bangkok--7 Nov--G Communications Central Marketing Group (CMG), the importer and distributor of Wrangler jean, successfully organized the announcement of “Wrangler…Build Your Own Identity contest” amidst the crowd of medias, artists, celebrities, guests and the general public at the Hard Rock open space, Siam Square on October 20, 2007. The purpose of “Wrangler… Build Your Own Identity contest” is to provide creative activity for university students and the general public to participate in and to support them to spend their time efficiently. Furthermore, CMG wants to provide a platform for jeans lovers to exchange their ideas on how to make their jeans in chic, worn-look and unique style. To participate in this contest, all participants must create their work piece by using Wrangler jeans model 111 MWZ Limited Edition, which has been specially designed for this contest. There will be no limitation on the number of work submitted or techniques to create their own worn look jean. The contest was opened for submission from July till September 2007 with a total of 278 works submitted. Out of 278 works, only 50 qualifiers were selected to the second round and only the top 20 to the final. On the announcement day, participants from nationwide are vigorously gathered at the Hard Rock open space. Especially the 20 finalists, who were required to present their work piece on stage. They are anxious to know if their work piece will be one of the top 5 awards, while those in the fashion industry, stars and artists, celebrities, guests, youngsters, and the general public were joyously witness the event. was started by having the 20 finalists to present their own worn look jeans on catwalk with Wrangler Idol “Ananda Everingham” who present his finale by walking out from a container. Meanwhile, D.J. Map — Wongsathorn Kwandhama - as the MC has interviewed all the 20 finalists about their inspiration and ideas including processes to create their own worn look jean in front of the panel of 6 judges which are comprising ofMr. Pichai Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer, Central Marketing Group, Mr. David Tring, Regional Product Director of VF Asia Ltd. Our MC first invites all participants to show up on the stage, and then he asked those defeated persons to jump into empty tank amidst the loud cheers of the onlookers. Next our MC invites all the five winners to participate in the game called “Idol’s Favorite Idea” by giving each participant tools, i.e. sandpaper, Haiter solution, screw driver, nails and colors, to create a fresh work piece for Ananda to comment and select his favorite work. The winner of this game will receive the jeans that Ananda is actually wearing as reward. In fact, the highlight of this game was the period that Ananda took off his jean on the stage and give away as prize for the winner. Next is the announcement of the final result when all judges are invited on stage as the Commentators to comment all the five work pieces and announce the two consolation prizes, the second runner-up, the first runner-up, and finally the winner of the contest. However, the winner will receive 30,000 Baht cash together with an imported Wrangler jean and certificate as grand prize. The first runner-up will receive 20,000 Baht cash and certificate. The second runner-up will receive 10,000 Baht cash and certificate. The two consolation prizes will each receive 3,500 Baht cash. By the way, all the 50 participants who enter the first round of the competition (except the first three winners) will receive a gift voucher valued 1,500 Baht.
