CPF profits 1,307 M. on 3rd quarter of 2007 performance Jump up 92% compared with 2006

Bangkok--12 Nov--CPF Adirek Sripratak, president and CEO of Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) revealed that the company had a net sale of 35,528 million baht, up 9 % from the same period of last year, which came from 18% of operations in foreign countries and 66% from domestic operations and 16% from exports. Total profits of 1,307 million baht, up 92% originated from a better price of meat such as broiler and eggs in Thailand and Turkey. Prices are above the average rate compared to last year, which was 13.8%, and at 15.5 in 3rd quarter of 2007.“The company performance in foreign countries shows very well and satisfied, especially in Turkey and India. Operations in Laos have started and at Russia is expected to begin about 2nd quarter of next year. In Thailand, domestic meat business just backs to normal,” said Adirek. Even the price of meat has decreased after the vegetarian festival, school closing period and floods in some provinces, but the price currently has gained up and the company expected to have a profit at the 4th quarter and continue to next year.
