When fifteen-year-old Dolf visits his scientist mother at her research laboratory, he discovers her latest project: a time machine. Through a twist of fate, Dolf is transported to the Middle Ages, where the feisty and intelligent Jenne immediately saves his life. Dolf soon learns that Jenne is part of the Children’s Crusade-ten thousand kids to Jerusalem to stand up for what they think is right. Dolf, Jenne and their compatriots face and conquer innumerable challenges, but never lose sight of their goals. Will they triumph over adversity? And when given the chance, will Dolf return to the twenty-first century? Modern and ancient worlds collide- and ultimately band together- in this heart-pounding and inspiring film based on the acclaimed children’s book by Thea Beckman. Kid in Da Hood is a touching emotional tale about a young African girl named Amina who takes refuge in Sweden with her grandfather. However, since Amina and her grandfather are immigrants, they face a greater challenge in establishing a life outside of their home country. Enter Johan, a rock musician who is committed to living life on his own terms. Johan understands what it’s like to be different and takes the two immigrants into his bohemian home. From Johan’s rock to the kid’s clever raps and funky beats, this engaging multi-cultural film will have you grooving and crooning as it effortlessly blends comedy, music and social commentary to explore the true meaning of family. Endeavour in many other children’s movies that have entered in other Children’s Film Festivals all around the world. Free of charge for children and all those interested.
