Bangkok--22 Jan--SET Lohakit Metal PCL, a provider of integrated stainless steel products, will be The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s first listing for 2008. It will commence trading on January 24, 2008 and use “LHK” as its trading symbol. The firm will be listed in the Industrial Materials and Machinery Sector, under the industrials group, SET Executive Vice President Mr. Vichate Tantiwanich said. LHK currently has total paid-up capital of THB 320 million, consisting of 240 million existing common shares and 80 million capital increase shares, with a par value of THB 1.00 each. At its initial public offering (IPO) on January 15 - 17, the company raised THB 220.80 million by offering 80 million shares (25% of capital after IPO) to the general public at THB 2.76 per share. These funds will be put towards building a new plant, purchasing machinery and equipment and repaying debt. Seamico Securities PCL was its financial advisor. LHK’s dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 40% of its net profit after taxes. The company’s IPO price reflects a price/earnings (P/E) ratio of 7.67 (based on annualized 6M/2008 earnings from its consolidated financial statements). Its sector’s average P/E ratio, as of Jan. 9, 2008, was 8.85. LHK is a leading provider of integrated stainless steel products, such as cold-rolled stainless steel, steel sheet and pipe and galvanized and electro-galvanized steel. The firm has two subsidiaries—Auto Metal Co., Ltd. and D-stainless Co., Ltd. The group’s customers are from a variety of industries, with most being Japanese companies operating in Thailand or Thai OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) firms manufacturing for the Japanese market.
