ข่าวยานยนต์ Wednesday January 23, 2008 18:01 —PRESS RELEASE LOCAL

Bangkok--23 Jan--IMPACT Exhibition Management IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Asia’s leading venue, will be launching a new “IMPACT Link” city shuttle bus service in May. The service aims to provide an alternative transportation option between Bangkok’s city centre and IMPACT. The launch of the shuttle bus service is part of IMPACT’s ongoing plans to offer an alternative and convenient accessibility for the rapidly growing numbers of international and local visitors to the venue. Last year, IMPACT hosted more than 300 events and welcomed more than 15 million visitors through its doors. This year, from 28 February to 2 March, a total of 30,000 visitors attended the Bangkok International Jewelry and Gem Exhibition, held at IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-3. During the event, more than 4,000 limousines, taxis and buses were deployed each day to cater to the transportation needs of the visitors. The number does not include visitors who traveled to IMPACT using their own transports — who, of course, had no problem finding parking lots in IMPACT’s vast car parking facilities. IMPACT provides six outdoor and two indoor parking areas, which can handle more than 15,000 vehicles. The “IMPACT Link” shuttle service is operated under a joint partnership between IMPACT and Bangkok-based HongThong Transport — one of Thailand’s leading transportation companies. A brand new fleet of 15 luxury mini-buses, donning the distinctive logo of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani will ply the 30 minutes route between the Mo Chit Sky Train Station and IMPACT, departing from each point at 30 minutes intervals. This daily service is scheduled from 5.30 am to 10 pm. Each trip will cost 30 baht per person and a 5% discount is offered for bulk purchase of 10 tickets. Mr Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management, which operates IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, commented: “The introduction of IMPACT Link is part of our ongoing commitments to increase our range of transportation solutions to meet increasing demands. This new service will complement our array of existing transportation services such as limousines, on-call taxis, on-call mini-buses, public buses and inter-fairground shuttles.” For more information, please contact: Jintana Phongpakdee Director — Communications IMPACT Exhibition Management Mobile: +66(0)81 640 0497 DID: +66(0)2 833 5061 Email: [email protected]
