Bangkok--30 Jan--Ratchaburi Electricity Generatin Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. announced the Company’s consolidated operating performance ended December 31, 2007. The net profit was 5,829.40 million baht or earning per share of 4.02 baht, a decrease of 4.53 percent or 0.19 baht per share from the operating result of 2006. Mr. Narong Sitasuwan, Managing Director of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL revealed that the Company’s 2007 operating performance was satisfactory and achieved the financial projection well as planned. Even though the Company’s net profit of 5,829.40 million baht reduced by 276.64 million baht or 4.53% from the net profit of 6,106.04 million baht in year 2006. This resulted from the 2007 operating and maintenance plan of Ratchaburi Power Plant to conduct a major overhaul every 6 years. However, the initial financial projection has anticipated the reduction of the Company’s net profit at approximately 10%” In 2007, the Company’s operating income was 6,498.35 million baht and the profit sharing of joint- venture companies was 792.63 million baht. Meanwhile, the Company’s income tax of 97.04 million baht and interest payment of 1,364.54 million baht brought about the 2007 net profit to 5,829.40 million baht. For the 2007 operation, the sale revenue was 43,820.69 million baht, an increase of 6,552.01 million baht or 13.01% lower than the previous year due to the planned shutdown for the major overhaul of the Thermal power plant Unit 1 and Combined-Cycle power plant Block 2 at Ratchaburi Power Plant in the 3rd quarter affecting in a minor decrease of its electricity sale from availability payment. Nonetheless, the Company received the insurance claimable of 707.77 million baht from fire incident at the Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) unit in 2005. In addition, the Company’s interest income was 580.53 million baht, an income received from management service fee and other incomes were 49.33 million baht and 122.16 million baht orderly.The Company’s cost of sale was 38,122.25 million baht, a decrease of 4,826.26 million baht or 11.24% less. The directors’ remuneration was 28.54 million baht, and the administration expense was 631.34 million baht, an 133.78 million baht increase from the year 2006, which occurred by the preparation and development of investment projects and feasibility study in conjunction with the business expansion plan. As of December 31, 2007, the Company’s total assets was 70,300.93 million baht, consisted of the current asset of 21,070.98 million baht and the non-current asset of 49,229.95 million baht. The Company’s total liabilities was 32,821.13 million baht, an 4,588.52 million baht decrease from the year 2006, and the total shareholders’ equity was 37,479.80 million baht.
