Bangkok--5 Mar--Asian Banker NCR Corporation has announced that Delton Yuen has been named to the newly created position of vice president, business strategy and development for North Asia Pacific. A 29-year veteran of NCR, Yuen will be based in Hong Kong and report to NCR North Asia Pacific President Patrick Chou. He will be responsible for formulating strategy, partnership and business development initiatives on expanding NCR’s assisted- and self-service businesses in targeted industries such as banking, retail, travel, gaming and entertainment. “The appointment underscores our investment for the North Asia Pacific market and our commitment in capturing the market opportunities in targeted industry sectors,” said Patrick Chou, North Asia President of NCR. “Delton is a strategist with practical experience in managing major NCR milestones. I am pleased to have someone of Delton’s strong caliber leading our team into untapped market segments.” Yuen most recently served as interim vice president of North Asia Pacific for NCR’s Financial Solutions Division. Prior to that, he led the Asia Pacific order fulfillment work and made comprehensive optimization for the entire process. From 2003 to 2005, he was in charge of the financial self-service business of the whole Asia Pacific Area. Joining NCR Hong Kong in 1979 as a sales trainee, Yuen has pursued an accelerating career path in NCR. He was promoted to various senior managerial positions and seconded to different cities such as Hong Kong, Toronto, Beijing and Shanghai over the years. In 1997, Yuen was promoted to the Area Director of Greater China in Shanghai to assume responsibility for the sales and marketing functions of financial self- solutions. In 1999 Yuen helped NCR focus on the growing market in financial self-service in Asia Pacific as the Regional Vice President for Financial Self Service, where he helped to grow the business by 39% in 2000. “I am excited in taking up this new assignment at this important time for NCR.
