Bangkok--10 Mar--SET It was recently reported that The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) had directed TPI Polene PCL (TPIPL) to clarify its plans and actions as ordered by the Criminal Court and, the report alleged, that SET had distorted certain facts and misinformed investors. SET would like to explain that, under standard procedure, the Exchange will ask for clarification from listed companies if SET thought that there was significant information which might affect the firm’s financial and/or operational performance. TPIPL’s clarification publicized on March 6, 2008 was still insufficient for the public to fully understand the company’s status and future actions as per the Court order. Consequently, the Exchange has asked the company to provide further clarification, which will be made available to the public when received.
