Thus, equipped with the 4-cylinder diesel engine with third generation of Diesel Common Rail Direct Injection with PIEZO injectors, 1,800 bar and with Variable Nozzle Turbocharger, both the new BMW 320d and X3 2.0d continue to offer the dynamic performance that is synonymous with the BMW brand, thus ensuring higher power output and lower fuel consumption. The engine also provides a maximum powerful torque of 350 NM at engine speed 1,750-3,000/min. In addition, all BMW diesel-engine car models can use diesel B2 and B5 alternative energy. Presently, 40% of all BMW cars sold worldwide are diesel-engine models, and last year, the brand sold more diesel cars than any other premium manufacturer. In Europe alone, 90% of BMW X5 customers and more than 60% of BMW 3 Series customers order diesel versions, while in Thailand last year, sales of the BMW 520d contributed to half of the total sales of the BMW 5 Series.
