Thai bourse’s road show to visit Nakhon Sawan in March

Bangkok--18 Mar--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and private sector organizations are planning an economics, savings and investment extravaganza, SET in the City, in Nakhon Sawan on March 22. The event, expected to attract many visitors from the locality and neighboring provinces, includes a team of specialists who will offer individually-tailored tips on investment and financial management. A seminar, from 09:00 — 16:00 hrs. at the Thepthida Room, Pimarn Hotel, will cover fundraising through the capital market and will be especially appealing to business operators. SET’s partners in the event include the Nakhon Sawan Province administration, the local Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Industries and the Bankers Association, SET Executive Vice President, Capital Market Opportunity Center, Vichate Tantiwanich said. “Nakhon Sawan is the site of our first road show for 2008 because of its economic and investment potential, its well-developed transport infrastructure and its importance as the business center for upper Central and lower Northern Thailand. As of December 2007, Nakhon Sawan recorded total savings of THB 39.59 billion - the second-highest in the North. In January 2008, six securities company branches traded securities worth THB 2.35 billion - the third-largest after Chiang Mai and Phitsanulok,” Mr. Vichate added.
