Bangkok--27 Mar--Ford - Fords First Brand Ambassador, “Tata Young,” adds to the excitement Ford’s mantra, “Make Every Day Exciting,” will be kicked up a notch at the 29th Bangkok International Motor Show with a mega showcase of 14 Ford models led by Focus, and the thrilling “Verve Concept” — Ford’s trendy Frosted Grape concept car. Providing added fun and excitement is Thai super celebrity “Tata Young,” who debut as Fords first Brand Ambassador during the show. “This year’s Motor Show will be our most exciting because we are bringing in the cream of our crop -- 14 current models in all, ” said Saroj Kiatfungfoo, senior vice president of Ford Thailand. “Show goers can also share the excitement of our small-car Verve Concept” that is taking the auto show world by storm. The “Verve Concept” is a brainchild of Ford of Europe designer team and a clever application of Ford’s kinetic design philosophy. The design of the concept car conveys dynamism, emotion and refinement — “energy in motion” as the design team likes to put it. Elements born of kinetic design will appear in all future Ford small cars which to be produced in Thailand.“Tata Young” — the first Ford Ambassador Thailand’s entertainment phenomenon “Tata Young” began her ambassadorial duties on 26 March by meeting and talking with VIPs and invited Ford Active cardholders. A special performance is scheduled on the 27th at the Ford booth at the Motor Show, when Tata Young entertains executives and the automotive, lifestyle and entertainment media. Following the Motor Show, and throughout the year, Tata will be touring the country and meet Ford customers all over Thailand.More excitement at the Motor Show Ford’s “Make Every Day Exciting” will come alive at the Ford booth similar to the exhibits the automaker uses at major motor shows around the world. The largest-ever LED screen in Bangkok International Motor Show history is installed at the Ford booth for a special presentation that will “Make Every Day Exciting”. The “Infinity of Life” performance will also be staged to bring the excitement to another level. Ford staff will warmly welcome visitors at the booth and escort them inside where they can expect engaging activities like the Ford Focus Studio where customers will be asked to “Control Your Life” by taking photos of themselves with their choice of trendy backgrounds. They can also enjoy massage, get their nails done, play mini golf and pick up souvenirs at the hip Ford Lounge. The adventurous can ride a surf board simulator in the Ford Escape Zone and families with kids can have fun with T-shirt and card painting at the Ford Everest zone. Joining the Verve Concept at the motor show are 14 other Ford models under four nameplates -- Ford Ranger, the 100% Truck; Ford Escape, the real SUV; Ford Everest, the seven-seat family SUV and the Ford Focus passenger cars. Sharing the spotlight is the new Ranger WildTrak, the sporty styling tough truck with DURATORQ 380 Nm TDCi engine that is responsive and powerful without compromising on fuel efficiency. In addition, the Ford Focus brings its own brand of excitement to the Motor Show with its Focus TDCi. It’s the country’s first compact passenger car with diesel commonrail engine that delivers both performance and fuel efficiency. The TDCi will debut in a snazzy new Racing Blue. Another star at the Ford booth is the petrol-engine Ford Focus with special accessories modified by G’D Up and inspired by the Ford Focus WRC, winner of the World Rally Championship Manufacturer’s Title for two consecutive years. Ford Everest — the 7-seat family SUV comes with Navi Edition featuring a satellite-navigation system, two ceiling-mounted Alpine DVD touch screen monitors, and a reverse camera that acts as a third eye that provides greater safety when backing up and parking. For adventure-minded people, Ford Escape — the latest real SUV which was just introduced in late 2007 is not to be missed.
