Bangkok Bank launches Blue Wave TV commercial

Bangkok--28 Apr--Bangkok Bank Bangkok Bank has launched a 30-second television commercial for its Blue Wave credit card, Thailand’s first credit card to offer contactless payment technology. The TV commercial (TVC), titled ‘Fun to Wave’, showcases the contactless payment method, depicting its convenience, speed and security. Bangkok Bank Senior Vice President Suwanna Usanachitt said the bank has launched a new 30-second TVC titled ‘Fun to Wave’ to further promote the Bangkok Bank Blue Wave credit card. The card was developed to meet customer’s lifestyles by giving them a faster, more convenient and secure payment method. “The objective of the ‘Fun to Wave’ TVC is to reinforce Bangkok Bank as the leader in credit card innovation in Thailand, and connect the bank to contactless payments in the minds of the audience. The TVC depicts office workers during a lunch break rushing to purchase items from different shops with their Blue Wave credit card. Everywhere the office workers go, a blue light representing the Blue Wave card follows them. The TVC highlights the speed of the contactless payment method by depicting the office workers waving their cards over the payment terminal and picking up their sales slips without having to sign or count their change. At the end of the TVC, despite having shopped at many places, the office workers make it back to the office in time thanks to their Blue Wave credit cards,” Mrs. Suwanna said. Mrs. Suwanna said that Bangkok Bank’s Blue Wave credit card had received strong interest since its recent launch. Customers are not only interested in the speed of transactions but also the enhanced security because they no longer have to hand the card over to cashiers. A further security feature limits the contactless payment feature to transactions up to Baht 1,500 — limiting any potential losses should the card be lost or stolen. Card holders can use the contactless payment feature, which takes between four and six seconds to process, at McDonald’s, Burger King, Sizzler, the Pizza Company, Starbucks, 94o Coffee, Au Bon Pain, Umm Milk, Gourmet Market at the Emporium and Siam Paragon, Home Fresh Mart at the Mall Department Stores, Emporium Food Gallery at the Emporium, EGV entertainment complex, Esplanade Cineplex, Major Bowl Hit, Major Cineplex, Paragon Cineplex, and Nai In bookshops.
