Bangkok--18 Jun--JWT Public Relations MFC today announces the launch of PRO10 Premium target fund that, by investing in SET50 Index Futures, offers profit-making opportunity whether the stock market soars or plummets. The fund is also given the flexibility to adjust the investment ratio for equities and debt instruments according to the market conditions. With return target of 10%, the fund is set to make its initial public offering on June 18-25 this year. Dr. Pichit Akrathit, President of MFC Asset Management Public Company Limited (MFC), said MFC has pioneered target funds since 2000 with great success in terms of unitholders’ satisfaction, and the company is introducing MFC PRO10 Premium as the latest target fund innovation for this year. With a registered size of 1 billion Baht, the PRO10 Premium target fund will be offered to the public on June 18-25 as a one-year, non-redeemable flexible portfolio fund with an investment focus on equity securities and can also invest in debt instruments. The target fund will be the first of its kind that offers the opportunity to make profit whether the stock market sentiment is weak or strong by investing in derivatives on SET50 Index Futures — a unique strength that differentiates the PRO10 Premium from target funds previously offered by the company. MFC PRO10 Premium is notable because of its emphasis on high-liquidity stocks, which enables timely adjustment of the investment portfolio to market situations. The Fund is also highly flexible with the ability to adjust its investment ratio when stock prices tend to fall. In addition, it offers the opportunity for increased return by making profit in both upward and downward trends of the stock market, taking long position when the market is strong and short position when the market weakens. Moreover, the PRO10 Premium Fund can be dissolved immediately anytime before maturity date, provided that the unit price stands no lower than 11.20 Baht for at least five consecutive business days or when the value in Thai Baht of all assets held by the Fund and the value of the investment to be repaid to unitholders is not lower than 11 Baht per unit. In other words, the unitholders are given a 10% return on their investment when the Fund liquidates. In addition, the capital gains from the investment will be tax exemption.
