Bangkok--19 Jun--Bangkok Bank Bangkok Bank is providing loans of Baht 3,333 million to Lucky Spinning Co., Ltd to invest in the new textile spinning machine Murata Air Vortex Spinning from Murata Machinery, Japan. This machine, which is the latest innovation in the textile spinning industry, increases productivity and manages moisture and fibrous content as well as saving energy. Mr. Chansak Fuangfu, Bangkok Bank Senior Executive Vice President, said that the Bank has signed an agreement with Lucky Spinning Co., Ltd, Thailand leading textile spinning company, to lend Baht 3,333 million to the company to invest in the Murata Air Vortex Spinning Machine. This machine is the latest innovation in the textile spinning industry which can improve both productivity and market competitiveness for spinning mill companies. “Three leading organizations, comprising a financial institution, textile spinning company and machinery manufacturer have joined together to promote the growth of international trade and elevate the productivity of Thai textiles,” Mr. Chansak said. Mr. Kamol Phichitsingh, Lucky Spinning Co., Ltd. Managing Director & CEO said that the company is pleased to get the financial support from Bangkok Bank as the investment will enhance the productivity and quality of its product to suit customer needs. The machine is the latest innovation in the textile spinning industry as it can manufacture smooth and moisture-controlled yarns which are comfortable to wear, in line with demand from domestic and international markets. Additionally, the machine will save 35% in power consumption. “This investment is the first in two phases of investment for the company. We expect to finish installation and start operating 50 machines by January, 2009 and will install another 50 machines in the second phase by end of 2011. A total of 100 machines will be installed by the end of the project,” Mr. Kamol said. Mr. Daisuke Murata, President and Chief Executive Officer of Murata Machinery added that the company is proud of the Murata Air Vortex Spinning Machine as it is green technology and the only spinning technology identified by the UN for carbon credit eligibility. Other benefits of the machine include increased productivity, better quality and market competitiveness. Murata Machinery began researching and developing this machine in 1999 and it has now become highly sought after by the textile spinning industry. Lucky Spinning and Murata Machinery are also planning to set up a Global R & D centre for Vortex Technology in Singburi to research and develop new technology to apply in the textile spinning industry in Thailand and worldwide, Mr. Daisuke Murata said.
